2025 THEME
“AWAKENING” is an exploration of the resurgence of springtime beauty in Canada, serving as a metaphor for social consciousness and rebirth. Artists are invited to submit works that capture the essence of this awakening ~ both in nature and in the human spirit. Your art should resonate with themes of iconic beauty or inspire viewers to reflect on and engage with current social, political or environmental issues.

What We're Looking For:

• Social or Political Commentary: Pieces that offer insightful perspectives on contemporary political landscapes, challenging norms and sparking conversation. Art that delves into the journey towards understanding and healing, encouraging viewers to awaken to historical truths.

• Environmental Concerns: Works that highlight the delicate balance of our natural world, reminding us of the urgent need for environmental stewardship.

• Innovative and Impactful: Submissions should push boundaries, offering new interpretations and bold expressions that are both beautiful and thought-provoking.

• Inspiration from the Natural world: Art that explores and highlights our diverse flora and fauna as well as landscapes, vistas, meandering streams, vast fields or crashing coastlines.

• SUBMISSIONS OPEN January 6th, 2025 (check back here then!)

• DEADLINE for entry is March 15th (midnight)

• NOTIFICATIONS sent via email March 25th

• Online show goes LIVE May 1st-15th, 2025
